I grew up with a visual art education and background in drawing and painting. I like the beauty of the drawing, but I’ve always craved for creative spaces beyond the 2-dimentional. Later, I studied architecture and landscape architecture in college, where I developed a profound appreciation for the elegance of simple, functional forms crafted by human hands.

Since I took up pottery during the pandemic in 2022, clay has become the main medium for self-expression, and I see it as a way to integrate art into the everyday. Every piece of pottery tells a unique story about the maker, who has chosen to bring clay to life. I’m constantly finding ways to get better in experimenting with various techniques, currently finishing up an apprenticeship program at Pottery Northwest In Seattle.
